Poetry Discussion Group Meeting Monday 4 June

Join us for the monthly Poetry Discussion Group Monday, 4 June, 6-8 p.m. at Antidote Books as we read and discuss the poetry of Jane Kenyon. She was the NH Poet Laureate at the time of her death. From the Poetry Foundation website:

“As fellow poet Carol Muske remarked in the New York Times when describing Kenyon’s The Boat of Quiet Hours, ‘These poems surprise beauty at every turn and capture truth at its familiar New England slant. Here, in Keats’s terms, is a capable poet.’”

The Poetry Discussion Group meets on the first Monday of each month to read and discuss the work of a poet. Copies of the poems are provided. Admission is free, and the discussion is open to all; no experience or preparation necessary. These casual discussions are a great way to expand your knowledge of and appreciation for poetry. Come and help us choose next month’s poet.

The discussion is hosted by award-winning author Barbara Morrison, founder of TIme to Write. Time to Write offers classes, activities, and services for writers and readers.
