Putney Foodshelf will be open for extended curbside Open Hours on Saturday, April 4 from 9-11 am, and every following Saturday. Tuesday Open Hours are canceled for the time being.
If you can’t make it to Open Hours, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 802-387-8551 and we will make a plan for you to get food. Please pass the word on to others who may not have internet access.
You may have read about food shelves running out of food in other states. We are working with Vermont Foodbank and looking into other ways to order food in bulk. Don’t worry, even if you come at the end of Open Hours we will not run out of food! We are here for you.
In fact, tomorrow we’ll have a special treat. Putney residents Jim and Carolyn Olivier have completed the ServSafe food handler training and are delivering a large batch of woodfire-oven-baked sourdough rolls to the Foodshelf in time for Open Hours tomorrow. Yum! Our gratitude goes out to them and everyone pitching in to keep our foodshelf running, from customers to volunteers to donors to people who spread the word about us!
