Putney Library Exhibits the Art of Matthew Wolf

For the months of February and March, the art exhibition space at the Putney Public Library will be filled with the colors of copper enamel mosaics by local artist Matthew Wolf. Large and small works referred to as “puzzle mosaics” by the artist, explore both representational and abstract imagery assembled from discarded metals and wood. Educated as a silversmith, Wolf was offered access to a vacant enamel studio, which opened a new world of materials. “It was soon after I learned how to work with metal, fire and chemical reactions that this bit of serendipity occurred … I have worked at little else since”.
Putney Public Library is located at 55 Main St. in Putney, VT and is open Monday-Friday 10:30-6 and Saturday 10-3.
