NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Putney Planning Commission will meet on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, 7:00 p.m. in the Putney Town Offices, 127 Main Street, to take comment on the Putney Town Plan – draft for re-adoption dated September 1, 2015.
The basic structure of the Plan remains intact, however almost all sections have been revised. Changes include updated demographic information from the 2010 census and other sources, and mapping changes to show ANR River Corridors, and an enlargement of Resource designation for agricultural lands along the Connecticut River. The Putney Town Plan proposes a process of community engagement and education, and municipal policies and regulation designed to encourage safe, fulfilling, equitable, and sustainable land use and economic activity.
The Putney Planning Commission considers the proposed 2015 Town Plan amendments to be consistent with the goals established in 24 V.S.A. §4302.
A copy of the Draft Town Plan may be viewed at the Putney Town Hall or Putney Public Library during regular business hours and on the Municipal website www.putneyvt.org.
