Residential Coordinator

Join the residential team at Kurn Hattin Homes as a Residential Coordinator and make a difference in the lives of children. This multifaceted position is for an individual who will be an effective member of the team integral to teaching wide ranging positive life skills, supporting growth in academics, role modeling good communication skills, and working with the children in a homelike cottage setting. The coordinator will supervise all aspects of cottage living from creating a warm and welcoming community, running weekly cottage meetings using a restorative circle process, supervising hygiene, homework, and bedtime routines while teaching the children how to care for their cottage, and also working collaboratively with the rest of the child services team. Residential Coordinators work in partnership with families to advance the children’s development, teach effective communication skills, provide individual initiative and a feeling of responsibility while maintaining a warm, nurturing environment.

The work schedule may be a Sunday – Wednesday or Wednesday – Saturday with overnights.

The successful candidate will have at least two years’ experience working with children in childcare, education, or human service related fields with a college degree preferred.
