River Singers Holiday Concert to Benefit CASP

The River Singers Community Choir led by the Mary Cay Brass will hold it’s
annual holiday concerts on Saturday, December 14 at 7:30pm and Sunday,
December 15 at 4pm at Next Stage in Putney. The River Singers, in its 28th year
is a unique, 80-voice multi generational choir known for its eclectic mix of music
from diverse cultural musical heritages.
The choir will present soulful, thrilling songs of joy, love and peace from many
lands including the Balkans, Israel, the British Isles, South Africa, the Republic of
Georgia, Sweden, as well as songs for social justice and audience sing alongs!
Every River Singers concert is a benefit for a local or global peace initiative. This
year’s concert is for CASP – Community Asylum Seekers Project.
Based in Southern Vermont, CASP’s mission is to provide basic needs and
supportive community for those in the process of seeking asylum in the US.
