Ramona Lawrence has been a cherished member of our community for years, always greeting neighbors with a smile and a friendly hello. At 85, she now faces the challenge of keeping her home warm during the cold Vermont winters. Her wood-burning furnace, once a reliable source of heat, has become a safety concern as carrying firewood and navigating the basement stairs is increasingly difficult for her.
Installing a heat pump would not only provide Ramona with a safer way to heat her home but also help her maintain her independence. It would also allow her to qualify for Vermont’s Fuel Assistance Program, which could ease her financial burden. Unfortunately, recent cuts to government incentives have made this option unaffordable for her.
We are aiming to raise $5,000 to help cover the cost of purchasing and installing a heat pump. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in Ramona’s life. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with others would also be greatly appreciated. Let’s come together to support someone who has given so much to our community.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
