On Dec. 16, the Putney Food Shelf and Putney Community Cares co-sponsored “Cookies and Cocoa with Santa” at Next Stage in Putney. Children of all ages, including parents, came for a cookie (or two, or…), a hot drink and a visit with Santa Claus.
We would like to thank Scott Henry, our Santa extraordinaire; Next Stage, for hosting the event; the Putney General Store, the Putney Coop, the Gleanery and Mocha Joe’s for their donations; Kerri Harlow, Ruby McAdoo, Edgar DuBois, Ellen Strong, and the other generous bakers for the varied and delicious cookies; Marie Teagardin for taking photos; all the volunteers who set up, served, and cleaned up, and all who contributed donations.
