Labyrinth Program at Putney Public Library
On Wednesday, December 9th at 7pm, Putney Public Library will host a program on the history and use of labyrinths. Sadelle Wiltshire will lead a program on the use of labyrinths, whether as a quieting, healing form of walking meditation or a place for respite. After an overview and historical slide show there will be a labyrinth available to walk indoors as community. Bring a concern or joy to release into the labyrinth.
Sadelle is a recently trained Labyrinth Facilitator thru Veriditas.org, a non-profit organization that introduces the labyrinth as a tool for psycho-spiritual transformation. She is nearly finished her certification work with this organization and looks forward to offering many more labyrinth walks and programs in the tri-state area for healing, peace work and reflection. Sadelle will provide a small canvas labyrinth to use on site as well as have a couple of “finger labyrinths” available for those who want to participate but don’t wish to walk. If you journal, feel free to bring it along, as well as a writing implement.
Putney Library is located at 55 Main Street in Putney, VT. This program is free and open to the public.
