The Town of Putney is seeking an individual with an accounting background to serve as Treasurer. This is an appointed, part-time 10 hours per week position, with the potential to expand to more hours.
Responsibilities include reviewing accounts payable, payroll, financial statements and bank reconciliations. The Treasurer will be responsible for signing checks and distributing (mailing) payments. If you have grant writing and/or grant management experience, this is a plus but not a requirement. Microsoft XCEL and Word is a requirement for this position.
The qualified individual will work closely with the Administrative Assistant/Assistant Treasurer and the Town Manager with other daily administrative tasks as needed. Residency is not a qualification for this position. Salary $15.00 per hour based on experience.
