Elections laws and Safe Elections in Vermont will be the feature of a presentation by Vermont Secretary of State, Sarah Copeland Hanzas on September 30 at 6:30 in the Putney Public Library. State Rep. Mike Mrowicki will be hosting the hybrid presentation from the Putney Public Library, as the Secretary of State will Zoom in from Montpelier.
Concerns about the upcoming November election abound. Especially since the current President has tried to disrupt one election, then pardoned his supporters who attacked our nation’s capital so they can go out and do it again. Interim, the silence of Republicans about these actions casts a pall over upcoming elections both this year and in 2028. In short, we just don’t know what to expect .With all that on the table, it is imperative we be ready for anything.
Our Secretary of State meets regularly with other States Secretaries of State and election preparation is an especially hot topic this year.Sec. Copeland Hanzas is also working with our Attorney General Charity Clark in this regard.
Vermonters will have the opportunity to hear directly from the person in charge of Vermont elections. This event is free and open to the public. For those coming in person the Putney Library is handicap accessible. For those wishing to join in by Zoom, please email Rep. Mrowicki at;mike.mrowicki@legvt.gov
