Wednesday, April 17th–Putney Library Celebrates Poetry Month with a Reading by Michelle Blake and Kate Gleason

On Wednesday, April 17, 6:30 PM, at the Putney Library, Kate Gleason and Putney Library Writer in Residence Michelle Blake will read their poems and talk about what they are currently striving to discover in their work—about language, poetry and the world.
Kate Gleason is the author of two poetry books, Laika in Space (forthcoming Main Street Rag) and Measuring the Dark (Zone 3 Press). Her work has appeared in Verse Daily, Best American Poetry, The Southern Review, Alaska Quarterly Review, Rattle and many other publications.
Michelle Blake is the author of three novels, The Tentmaker, Earth Has No Sorrow and The Book of Light (Putnam Penguin), as well as a chapbook, Into the Wide and Startling World (Finishing Line) and a collaboration with visual artist Fran Forman, Escape Artist (Schiffer). Her work has appeared in Mezzo Cammin, Ploughshares, Southern Review, The New York Times, MORE magazine, Solstice Literary Magazine and Tin House.
