On Wednesday, August 1st at 7pm, join us for a presentation of the history
of Pierce’s Hall located in the hamlet of East Putney. Using a
slideshow of archived photos from the Putney Historical Society,
references from the Fortnightly Club’s History of Putney, 1954, and
interviews with past members of the East Putney Community Club, East
Putney resident, Irene Canaris will attempt to construct picture of
this historic 1831 hall and its once thriving East Putney community.
She invites Putney residents with personal stories about life in East
Putney to help share in this celebration of its history.
Putney Public Library is located at 55 Main St in Putney, VT. This
event is free and open to the public.
