Windham World Affairs Council (WWAC) has been teaming with Marlboro College to co-sponsor an International Lecture series. Members of both the WWAC and Marlboro communities have responded enthusiastically.

Our next lecture in the series will take place on Wednesday, Mar. 8, 2017 at 7:00 pm. The speaker will be Nancy Birdsall, Senior Fellow and President Emeritus, Center for Global Development, who will speak on “Globalization: The Fight Against Global Poverty and Inequity”
Marlboro College Graduate Center
28 Vernon Street, Brattleboro
Coffee/tea/conversation at 6:30pm
The 7:00 pm talk will be followed by a question & answer period

Nancy Birdsall is a senior fellow and president emeritus of the Center for Global Development, having served as founding president for its first 15 years from 2001-2016. Her current research areas include the roles and financing of the multilateral development banks; climate finance; inequality and the middle class in developing countries; and the long-run effect of modern contraception on women’s economic empowerment.

There will be 3 more lectures in our series in April. For details and dates, visit our web site:
