WWAC, in partnership with Marlboro College, Announces a New Series “Engaging the World “

Do you ever wish you could go back to college for an evening and find out what the students are learning there without having to pay any tuition or take any tests?  If so, you’re in luck! Marlboro College is partnering with Windham World Affairs Council to offer the community a new speaker series based on a Marlboro College seminar course designed by Marlboro College President Kevin F. F. Quigley.

President Quigley’s seminar course for the college entitled “Engaging the World” draws on leading experts and explores various strategies that individuals and organizations—public, private, as well as governments—can use to engage in the world in response to a particular issue or to promote a specific interest. In an extraordinarily generous initiative, the college is coordinating a matching speaker series for the community, giving us the opportunity to hear the same expert speakers as the students.  Windham World Affairs Council will host the five informal Wednesday evening lectures. Five guest speakers will bring a wealth of experience and diverse perspectives on how to engage in the world.

Series Launch Wed. Feb. 13, 2019
The first speaker will be Michael Gilligan
President of Henry Luce Foundation.
His topic will be “Understanding Religion(s) in International Affairs: One Foundation’s Experience”
Free and open to the public
